This database is being provided by an AKC Parent Club, the Poodle Club of America (PCA). With that distinction, there are specific rules that need to be followed.

By registering for the Poodle Pedigree Database, you are agreeing to abide by these rules.

NO DOODLES. NO MERLE. This database is a preservation database for the research of purebred poodles only. This rule extends to anyone who may be (or definitely is) involved with breeding doodles or merles. If it is discovered that a database user is involved in breeding doodles or merles, they will be blocked permanently from accessing or using the database in any way, and all dogs added by the said user will be removed. No refund of any membership fees will be given. Please report any doodle or merle activity to the Admin.

NO ABUSE OF THE ADMINS WILL BE TOLERATED. We are all volunteers. If you abuse an admin, you will be warned and/or removed.

HAVE BACKUP DOCUMENTATION FOR THE INFORMATION YOU ENTER. Administrators may ask for backup documentation to ensure what you are entering is accurate. If you do not have backup documentation, dogs or titles may be removed, and user access may be terminated.

HONORIFICS ARE NOT TITLES. BIS, BISS, TP, WC, WCX, and rankings are all honorifics, and should not be entered in the title field. Please feel free to use the honorifics field there. It will be visible to all that open your dog's individual page. Honorifics will NOT appear on a pedigree. Please separate honorifics, prefix titles, and suffix titles from the actual registered name of the dog. If you are found to abuse this rule, and include honorifics with the registered name, prefixes, or suffixes, you will be warned by admin. If you continue to abuse this rule, you will be removed from the database, and admin will correctly edit said dog(s). If you see abuse of this rule, please report it to the admin. We are trying to keep this database as clean and clutter free as possible. Poodle Pedigree is meant for research, not accolades.

ONLY AKC APPROVED COUNTRIES AND THEIR TITLES WILL BE ALLOWED. When adding or editing a dog, a pull-down menu of all AKC approved countries will be provided. If your dog does not have registration in one of these countries, it will not be accepted in the database.

AMERICAN UKC REGISTRATION AND EVENTS ARE NOT RECOGNIZED BY AKC, and therefore not recognized by PCA or this database. Please do not try to list UKC titles in the title field, you will be warned, and if it continues you will be removed. However, you are welcome to list UKC titles in the honorifics section.

CURRENTLY AKC AND PCA ARE OPPOSED TO THE ONGOING CRISIS IN UKRAINE.

In solidarity with the Ukranian people, any new requests for imported dog registration from the Russian Kennel Federation will be denied by AKC and therefore PCA. This also currently includes membership in this database until further notice.

ONLY AKC REGISTERABLE COLORS ARE ALLOWED. AKC lists 11 solid colors and several bicolored registerable options. Patterns are not recognized in color options. For example a black and white parti is just considered Black and White. Which ever color is dominant should be the first color. Merles are not registerable. If you are found to be entering Merle dogs using other acceptable colors, you will be blocked and all dogs you entered will be removed. Please report any known abuse of this rule to the admin.

AS YOU LEVEL UP IN A TITLE, please change the individual title you leveled up to keep it updated. We acknowledge all of the hard work you have done to acquire each title, but they are meant to be changed as the next level is achieved.
